Dear HRHF Supporters,
March is a month of transitions here at the farm — winter wrapping up, spring sessions beginning, and a whole new group of faces finding their footing alongside our herd. Our sessions are full of energy, new friendships are forming, and the horses are doing what they do best — meeting everyone exactly where they are. There is something about this time of year that feels full of possibility, and we are so grateful to have each of you as part of the community that makes it all happen.
Farm Happenings: Take a peek at what we've been up to at the farm:
Celebrating our strongest season yet — 27+ participants on the farm each week. Thank you to the families, partners, and supporters who make it possible.
Investing in our team — participated in workshops in Critical Thinking with UWNCM, Youth Mental Health with PPAL and Equine Acupressure with Linda Crabtree of Circle of Peace.
Caring for our herd — recent visits from farrier Justin, dentist Nicole, and massage therapist Shannon.
Register now for Summer Camp — July 27–31, spots are limited, spread the word!
Volunteer Spotlight - Erin Siliker
Erin started as a volunteer during the Winter 25’ sessions. She instantly clicked with the rest of the team, the horses, and the participants. Erin is always ready to jump into any role, whether it be greeter or sidewalker. Her genuine excitement to ask questions and learn sets an example for participants as well as fellow volunteers. Her love for the horses is always clear, especially when she forms a bond with a horse she’s working with for the first time. She’s always laughing, making others smile, and building up our participants. Erin is like a ray of sunshine at every Friday session, and we are so lucky to have her as part of the HRHF family!
Moments That Matter 🐴
What Happens When You Just... Wait
When Max arrived at High Ridge Harmony Farm this winter, he brought something quietly powerful with him — patience. What unfolded between him and Mint the mule over the course of their sessions is one of those farm moments that reminds us exactly why we do this work.
